Car crash court case part 2

Yesterday I wrote about my concerns about testifying in court today  in relation to a car crash I was involved in this April. As luck would have it, I ended up not having to go to court at all.

The defendant changed his plead to guilty to dangerous driving charges, so the Police didn't need me as a witness.

He received a sentence of 200 hrs community work and reparation of $400. The judge imposed no disqualification period as she thought it would be a detriment to him working.

I thought it was a reasonable outcome. It has restored my faith in the justice system to deliver a fair and balanced resolution.
